FIRST LEGO League

If you are looking for a rewarding and fun way to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers, you should consider coaching a FIRST LEGO League Discover, Explore or Challenge team. As a coach, you will guide your team through a project-based learning experience that combines LEGO building, coding and research on a real-world topic. You will help your team develop skills such as teamwork, creativity, critical thinking and communication. You will also witness their excitement and joy as they discover new possibilities and solutions. Coaching a FIRST LEGO League team is not only beneficial for the students, but also for you. You will learn new skills, meet new people and make a positive impact in your community. You don't need to be an expert in STEM or LEGO to be a coach. All you need is enthusiasm, dedication and a willingness to Bioglow logo on lime green banner with a stylized leaf icon on the left and'BIOGLOW' in bold letters; lavender 'FOUNDERS EDITION' panel below.learn along with your team. Engage your students in a range of relevant learning opportunities that will immerse them in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering with FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge Team or Class Pack.

FIRST® helps facilitators guide their students through 12 sessions as they develop, design, build, and code a LEGO® robot that navigates missions of a robot game and develop an innovation project solution to a real-world problem.

Resources available to facilitators include scope and sequence options, which feature variations to customize activities to extend learning beyond the 10 sessions using FIRST and LEGO Education supporting materials.

To ensure students are acquiring knowledge and developing skills that are age- and grade-level appropriate, the FIRST LEGO League Challenge Learning Progression can also be used to validate or assess students' knowledge and skills.
