Volunteer Role Descriptions
Attend
The tournament is Sunday only and is expected to begin at 8:00am and finish at about 6:00pm. Many teams choose to come for the weekend and enjoy want central Florida has to offer. However, only Sunday events are required parts of the tournament. FTC teams must complete inspection Saturday night.
Things to do
Weekend activities: There are many churches in the area that we invite you to attend. There is a variety of service styles from traditional to contemporary to meet the needs of your needs. Forest Lake Church is next door to Forest Lake Academy There are many beaches (from New Smyrna Beach in the north to Coco Beach in the south) within easy driving distance. There are also many parks and natural areas to explore.

Saturday Night
We will have a Vespers Program on Saturday Night at 7:30 pm in the Auditorium. After Vespers:
- FIRST LEGO League Challenge - Pits and practice tables open
- FIRST Tech Challenge - Robot and Field Inspection - The practice field will only be available to your team after you pass the inspections.
Meals
Meals will be available to purchase for the weekend from Friday Supper through Sunday lunch. Meal tickets are non-refundable.
Championship Tournament Meals - Order Deadline - noon Eastern, Friady, April 28, 2023
Concessions will be sold throughout the day outside by the Forest Lake Pathfinder Club who will also be providing the meals on Sunday.
Please note that no food or drink is allowed in the gymnasium.
Lodging
There are many motels in the area as well as Air B&B options.
In addition, the dorms are available. FLA is no longer a boarding academy but the dorms are available for $10/person/night. This does not include linens.
